All literature, it has been said, is political, but whether politics has a place on a literary blog is another matter altogether.
Book blogger D.G. Myers is alleging he was fired from the conservative Commentary magazine by editor John Podhoretz for writing a post on gay marriage in the wake of last Tuesday’s election.
Podhoretz, for his part, says that the firing was not the act of censorship critics have charged but, rather, the culmination of an imperfect union that should have been terminated long ago.
